Salyut Hotel, Moscow - General information of the hotel

The Salyut Hotel is situated on the territory of Troparevo district - one of the ecologically cleanest and greenest districts of Moscow city. The geographical name of Troparevo belonged to the former village which became a part of Moscow city in 1960. At the end of 60 and 70 the main part of the Troparevo district was widened and longed to the point where the Vernadsky Avenue meets the Leninsky Avenue. The Salyut Hotel was erected at that site at the end of 70. That site was known as a place where an inn situated 100 years ago. So that the 24 storey Salyut Hotel built up just before Moscow Olympic Games of 1980 continued the principles of Moscow hospitality. For many years the Salyut Hotel belonged to the Soviet Trade Unions and to Intourbureau. The Salyut Hotel was mostly used for accommodation of hundreds of foreign tourists who visited Moscow that time. In 1984 the Salyut Hotel became a host for the participants of the XII World Youth Festival. Beginning from 90th when the "Perestroyka" was over and the Salyut Hotel practically lost all foreign tourists, it unexpectedly found new clients - Russian and foreign businessmen. The Salyut Hotel was the first three star hotel on Kiev direction road and Moscow Vnukovo airport. The Salyut Hotel is located about 200 metres from the Moscow Ring Road and it allows to reach the airports of Sheremetievo or Domodedovo within 30-40 minutes drive. The underground station Jugo-Zapadnaya and two main Avenues of Moscow (Leninsky and Vernadskogo) are located nearby as well. The Salyut Hotel attracting its clients with its great location, convenient transport links, comfortable single and double bedded rooms, developed hotel infrastructure, bars, restaurants and even casino. The price for accommodation at the Salyut Hotel was and is affordable for the budget clients. At the time being big renovations of the Salyut Hotel's infrastructure take place to make services improved. The Salyut Hotel offers its rooms to stay with pets.
